Lifetime Cellphone Number Act
Cellphone numbers are already part of our life. This small device is the way for us to connect to others.
23-year old Bryle Leano is using his sim card number for 6 years. From elementary to high school. But he said that he is having a problem with the mobile data or the internet.
Bryle said that as the sim card number gets old, the mobile data or internet gets slower too and it affects the charges in his load.
He also said that he cant change his number because he is using it at work. His friends are giving his number to the clients and if he change his phone number, he might lose some of his clients.
Rep. Alfred Vargas is the sponsor of the Lifetime Cellphone Number Act so that we can all say that there forever does exist in cellphone numbers.
Many people are in favor to this act specially those who doesn't want to lose their contacts, numbers and opportunities.
Another problem to this is if you lose your number, it can be use by other person. According to Globe Telcom, sim card numbers are recyclable. It may be recycled and can be use again.
It is said that if the said Act is being approved, all of the briefing numbers which are the first four-digits in a number which is an identification of a certain network, their values will be gone.
According to NTC, there will be no problem if the four-digit number will be removed and no confusion will be caused.
“Tingin ko advantage po siya kasi mababawasan na po yung mga pinagmula ng pag iinform dun sa mga kakilala nila na may bago na po silang number” said Leano.
