Ocular inspection team audits QNHS’ SPFL
An ocular inspection team from DepEd Central and Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines inspected the Special Program in Foreign Language(Korean) of Quezon National High School last July 19, 2019.
The ocular team was composed of Dr. Riza Guzano of DepEd Central who’s in charge of Special Program in Foreign Language in the Philippines, Ms. Patricia Santos, the supervisor in charge of SPFL(Korean) and Ms. Donna Cu from KCC.
“We decorated our classroom and prepared the equipment that we needed in the lesson. Mr. Ian Roxas and I were also observed at the class because that was part of the inspection,” said Vanessa Ellaga, SPFL Coordinator of QNHS.
During the welcome program, the inspection team was amazed especially when they saw the classroom of students at the speech laboratory.
“This is the best classroom so far in all the schools that we have visited in CALABARZON implementing SPFLK.,” said Dr. Riza Guzano.
The ocular tools were ‘splendid’ and complete according to Patricia Santos when they were checking the equipment, along with the action plan for four years for the SPFL.
“We were so tired the entire week. Sir Ian and I joined hands accomplishing all the ocular tools. Anyway, their coming wasn’t a big deal but we were worried about the ocular tool but it turned out that they said that among all those that they have visited, we have all the most complete and splendid ocular tools.” added by Vanessa Ellaga.
The things that were checked by the ocular team were; classroom, sectioning, screening, students, class size, grading system, retention policy, availability of equipment, logistics of the classroom, action plan and plan for the program.
It took a month for the two teachers and 52 students of SPFLK to prepare for the ocular inspection.
