PH to host 30th SEA Games

           Philippines will host the annual Southeast Asian Games from November to December 11 making the Fourth hosting of the Phlippines of the said Sports event.

 

           The Philippines joined the SEA games last 1977 and since then it has hosted the SEA Games four times— 1981, 1991, 2005, and 2019.

 

           2019 SEA games original host Brunei decline its hosting making Philppines step in for the hosting of the Prestige event.

 

           The Philippines have made moves and built the New Clark city where a stadium is currently standing and where many of the events are happening.

         However, many challenges hound the 2019 Games. Issues on food, transportation, and accommodations of foreign and local athletes have emerged.

​

          The Philippine SEA Games Organizing Committee (Phisgoc), chaired by Speaker Alan Cayetano, is on top of the country's SEA Games hosting.

 

          Also, the controversial 50 million peso Cauldron will be lit from the official start of the Games till the end of it.
